3 “Staycation” - Lodging Suggestions

3 “Staycation” - Lodging Suggestions

Sometimes the most important thing of a “Staycation” is sleep and rest. That is where these three suggestions shine.

Local Bed and Breakfast

Book a night or two at your local independent Bed and Breakfast. If you can, booking outside of a normal busy period might get you better deals. You typically can find local Bed and Breakfasts by going to your town’s tourism website.

AirBnb and Vrbo are options too, but they aren’t as regulated as true Bed and Breakfasts in some areas.

Local Hotel

Maybe you want a bit more of a traditional hotel, looking up independent or chain hotels are a great option to get away and still be close to home.

Local Day Use Hotels

Since Covid several major hotel brands are offering day room rentals. To get the best result we recommend booking directly with the hotel. There are 3rd party sites that show you all the day use hotels in your area, but there has been some issues if the room is actually available to you.

This a great if you want a safe to place to nap. Or you want peace and quiet for an important work deadline.

Regardless where you decide to stay, make sure you do your research and find the right fit for you.
