Here are 9 easy and free things you can do today.

Soothing Yourself

Give Yourself a Hug

The Why: Hugs help reduce cortisol the hormone that causes stress; and it even works when you give yourself a hug. Try it out!

Put Lotion On Slowly

The Why: By pausing a minute and slowing putting lotion on you are bring your awareness back to the present moment. Which can help calm your racing thoughts.

Hold or Rub Your Hand Over Your Heart and Take Three Deep Breaths

The Why: This can calm your racing thoughts, and it can help slow your heart beat down a bit ( especially after a really stressful 5 minutes.)

Read, Write, Listen

Read Fluff ( A good book, a maginze, a feel good newsletter, community posts you love, recipe) Nothing News related, or heavy topics

The Why: Even a quick break of reading can help you escape for a couple of minutes and allow yourself to reset.
